Doctors who have passed medical exams in 2022 are still awaiting job placements, despite being registered. The delay in job appointments has led to frustration among these doctors, as the Health Department (Swasthya Bhawan) has not provided any confirmation regarding their employment timeline. Consequently, the Unemployed Doctors Forum organized a protest outside the Swasthya Bhawan, demanding immediate release of the list of vacancies and commencement of doctor appointments based on merit.
The protest highlights the pressing need for swift action to address the shortage of doctors in various health centers across the state. Many registered doctors are left unemployed and resorting to street protests to draw attention to their plight. The forum's demands center on the urgency of releasing vacancy lists and initiating doctor appointments to alleviate the strain on healthcare facilities caused by the shortage of medical professionals.
