Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), received a death threat call from an unidentified number on Friday, prompting swift action by law enforcement agencies. A formal complaint has been lodged, and authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The threat was reportedly communicated to Chaudhary’s personal assistant, Vishvendra Shah, through phone calls and WhatsApp messages. The caller allegedly identified himself as “Ismail” and claimed to be from Murshidabad, raising concerns over the origin and coordination of the threat.
What has further alarmed investigators is the claim that the caller possessed a copy of the minister’s official tour plan. This has triggered a deeper probe into a possible breach of sensitive information and whether the details were accessed through unauthorized means.
Police in New Delhi have registered the complaint and begun an inquiry, while authorities in West Bengal are also investigating to trace the caller and verify the claims. Coordination between agencies is underway to identify the individual and assess any potential risk to the minister.
The development has led to heightened vigilance around Chaudhary’s movements, with security measures being reviewed as the investigation continues. Officials are focusing on establishing the authenticity of the threat and ensuring necessary precautions are in place.
