A total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various coveted services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services. The selection was made based on the candidates’ performance in the written examination held in September 2024 and the subsequent interviews conducted earlier this year.
The UPSC CSE is known for its rigorous three-stage selection process: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). It tests candidates' knowledge, aptitude, leadership qualities, and decision-making capabilities, aiming to select the best talents for the country’s top administrative roles.
This year’s result highlights the continued trend of diverse backgrounds among successful candidates, demonstrating that dedication and consistent preparation can triumph irrespective of one’s initial circumstances. The detailed marks of the selected candidates and the cut-off marks will be published by the UPSC in due course.
With the final results now out, the selected candidates will soon be allotted their respective services and cadre preferences as per their ranks and categories, setting the foundation for the next generation of India's bureaucratic leadership.
