A man died by suicide on Friday after he allegedly jumped in front of a moving train at Sector-52 metro station in Uttar Pradesh's Noida city.
The incident took place when the man, who is yet to be identified, jumped at the Sector-52 station on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) corridor, according to the police.
"The incident was reported in the morning after which officials of the local Sector 49 Police Station rushed to the spot," as per reports. As the police could not find any evidence about the age and identification of the said person, they assumed the deceased is around 35 years old.
The police added that efforts are being made to ascertain the identity of the person. The police have registered an FIR in connection with the case and the body has been sent for post-mortem. Further legal investigations have been initiated in the matter.
Earlier in May, a 32-year-old man died by suicide after allegedly jumping in front of a moving train at the Noida Sector-34 metro station. The deceased was identified as Prashant Dixit, an engineer by profession, from Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh.
