A 48-year-old woman reportedly died after being given a "wrong" injection by a quack in the district, police said on Sunday. The accused was arrested by the police.
According to police, the woman died on Friday allegedly after she was given a wrong injection at a clinic in Semradh area, which falls under Koirauna police station limits.
Citing a complaint lodged by the victim's family members, Station House Officer (SHO) Brijesh Kumar Maurya said that Patti Devi (48), who was taken to Rajan Vishwakarma, an alleged quack, died after being injected. The body was sent for an autopsy.
Based on the complaint, the police filed an FIR under sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrested the accused on Sunday. “The accused did not produce any medical background before the police,” the SHO said.
