A shooting in Georgia killed two of more than 100 teenagers gathered at a house party on Saturday and injured six others, authorities said.
Investigators are piecing together what happened at the Douglasville home. No arrests have been made in the shooting, and it is unclear if more than one person carried out the shooting.
Trent Wilson, a captain with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, told the reports that the shots rang out between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday. He urged any witnesses to come forward with more information about how the shooting started and who is responsible. “We know there was a house party attended by over a hundred teenagers. A confrontation ensued resulting in two deaths and six gunshot wounds. Information is very limited at the moment," he said
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office made the announcement in a statement posted on social media Sunday morning. Wilson declined to provide the names of the two who died, but said they were under 18 years old.
Douglasville is just over 20 miles (32 kilometers) west of Atlanta, the capital of Georgia.
