A violent attack rocked Kolkata’s Jorabagan area on Sunday night when a youth was stabbed multiple times near Natunbazar. The victim, identified as Amit Sonkar alias Khargosh was attacked while riding his motorcycle, leaving him severely injured.
According to eyewitness accounts, the accused, Uttam Sonkar, appeared suddenly and stabbed Amit in his hand, causing him to fall to the ground. Uttam fled the scene immediately after the attack. Locals rushed to help Amit, who was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Amit and Uttam are relatives with a history of unresolved enmity, which is suspected to have been the motive behind the attack. Sources indicate that the incident was premeditated and stemmed from escalating tensions between the two.

Swift action led to the arrest of three of the accused, including Uttam Sonkar, Sanjay Chakraborty, and Abinash Sonkar.
The police are actively investigating the case, including questioning the arrested individuals and tracking the remaining two accused, Rajib Sonkar and Manoj Sonkar, who are still absconding.
