Young cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is set to be appointed as the brand ambassador of the Jharkhand Health Department, with State Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari announcing the decision on Saturday through a post on social media platform X. Alongside the appointment, the minister said that the young cricketer would also be honoured by the state for his achievements and growing influence among the country's youth.
Making the announcement, Ansari praised Suryavanshi for his explosive batting, exceptional talent and ability to attract nationwide attention at a remarkably young age. The minister described him as an inspiration for aspiring young people and highlighted the impact he has made through his performances on the cricket field. In his post, Ansari stated that Suryavanshi had created a strong impression across the cricketing world with his fearless approach and remarkable abilities.
The minister also referred to the young batter’s recent performances, saying that despite his team's defeat, he had succeeded in winning the admiration of millions of Indians. Ansari, who noted that he had played cricket himself, said Suryavanshi’s confidence and aggression against high-level international bowlers at such a young age reflected extraordinary talent. He further said that the cricketer had brought recognition not only to himself and his family but also to Bihar and the country as a whole.
According to Ansari, the courage, confidence and talent displayed by Suryavanshi at the age of 15 are contributing to a new chapter in Indian cricket. He described the young player as an example of youthful energy, hard work, discipline and perseverance. The minister stated that Suryavanshi’s batting performances have generated pride across the country and inspired a large number of young people.
Explaining the significance of the appointment, Ansari said the Jharkhand Health Department would work with Suryavanshi to promote awareness about health, fitness, discipline and positive lifestyle choices among the youth. He added that the cricketer’s talent and mindset had personally impressed him and reiterated that he would soon be formally honoured in Jharkhand.
