Valentine’s treat for fans! DDLJ and Titanic re-releasing in theater

Ahead of Valentine's Day, PVR Cinemas on Thursday said it will screen top romantic films like James Cameron and Shah Rukh Khan's Titanic and Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

The leading cinema chain will be hosting a specially curated Valentine's Day Film Festival of popular Bollywood, Hollywood and regional romance films across 25 cities across India. The week-long festival, which will begin on February 10 and end on February 16, will screen iconic titles like Titanic (English), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Hindi), Ticket to Paradise (English), Ved, (Marathi), Geetha Govindam (Telugu), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Tamil), Hridayam (Malayalam), Googly (Kannada), Love Ni Bhavai (Gujarati). Gautam Dutta, CEO of PVR Limited, said their aim is to provide an unforgettable experience to customers.

“The passion for cinema among audiences around this festival remains unchanged, and it has always been our aim to make every moment memorable for our patrons. PVR has put together a package of experiences to make this occasion truly exceptional in every possible way,” Dutta said in a statement.

Guests can also opt for private screenings at select luxury cinemas. A blockbuster romance, the 1995 film is the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema and continues to enjoy its screenings at the Maratha Mandir Cinema in Mumbai. The film will have a wide re-release in major Indian cities on Valentine's Day this year, Yash Raj Films said on Thursday. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), the longest running film in the history of cinema, has become synonymous with romance for generations to India and Indians since its historic release.

DDLJ will be released in 37 cities across India, including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Lucknow, Noida, Dehradun, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Chennai, Vellore.

Fans now have a chance to watch Shah Rukh Khan as Raj and Pathaan in theaters during the Valentine period, two films featuring different avatars of the superstar.
