The Vande Bharat Express was forced to halt after a group of men placed wooden logs on the railway track, reportedly to make social media reels. The incident disrupted train movement and raised serious concerns over passenger safety and railway security. According to officials, the obstruction was noticed when the high-speed train slowed down after detecting the logs on the track. Railway staff later removed the obstruction, allowing services to resume without any reported injuries. Videos of such stunts, often shared on social media platforms, have increasingly drawn criticism for endangering public safety.
Railway authorities have described the incident as a grave safety violation, noting that even minor obstructions can lead to major accidents, especially involving high-speed trains like the Vande Bharat Express.
An investigation has been initiated to identify those involved and determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Officials said strict action will be taken against individuals found responsible for risking lives and disrupting rail operations.
