On Tuesday morning, three individuals lost their lives in Manipur's Kangpokpi district, with early indications suggesting that it could have been an ambush.
The incident took place around 7:00 am when a group of three villagers from the Kuki-Zomi community was traveling in a vehicle. They were suddenly attacked near Ireng Naga village in Kangpokpi district.
The victims have been identified as Satneo Tuboi, Ngamminlun Lhouvum, and Ngamminlun Kipgen, all of whom were caught up in this unfortunate incident.
Manipur has been grappling with a prolonged period of unrest, extending over four months, marked by recurrent violent confrontations and fatalities. The government has been diligently pursuing a political resolution to address the ethnic tensions that have plagued the region.
