India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
Indian comedian and actor Vir Das has been announced as the host of the 2024 International Emmy Awards. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences made the announcement on Wednesday, marking Das as the first Indian to host the prestigious event.
Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Das wrote, “Thanks to your support, an Indian Emmy Host. I can’t wait to host the @iemmys this year! Crazy. Thank you for having me. Tremendously honoured and excited!”
Vir Das was previously nominated for an Emmy in 2021 for his special Vir Das: For India and won in 2023 for his Netflix special Landing. He is currently on his international Mind Fool tour.
Beyond stand-up, Das has starred in various series, including ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier and Netflix’s Hasmukh, and is developing a comedy series with CBS Studios.
