In a recent interview, Virat Kohli revealed that his wife-actor Anushka Sharma has “sacrificed a lot” as a mother in the last two years. The cricketer said that Anushka's way of life helped him realize that 'whatever problems he had, there was nothing'.
During his recent RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) podcast, the cricketer said that the only thing that mattered to him in the last two years was his wife and daughter Vamika Kohli. “When it comes to expectations, if your family loves you the way you are, you don't expect much because that's the basic requirement,” he said.
Virat also spoke about how actress Pari's attitude towards life inspired him in many ways. He said, “When you look for inspiration, you start from home and Anushka has obviously been a big inspiration for me. My life had a completely different perspective. When you fall in love with a person, you begin to process these changes in yourself. Her outlook on life was different, and that forced me to change for the better and accept things more.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka recently opened her Hindi film industry debut with Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in Netflix's The Romantics. About the same, she said, “I was just 19 years old when I signed the film. My first film and Adi said I can't tell anyone. No one knew about it. No one in the office was allowed to say that. It was a huge secret. Adi told me I can't even tell my parents.”
Anushka and Virat got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2017. The couple welcomed a daughter, Vamika, in January 2021.
Sharma recently appeared in the Netflix film Qala, produced by her brother Karnesh Sharma. After the birth of her daughter, she will return to the silver screen with Chakda Xpress, which is based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
