Plane with Himachal Deputy CM onboard makes emergency landing in Shimla
Congress Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi surprised onlookers with an unannounced visit to the Anand Vihar Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in New Delhi on Thursday morning.
In a video that surfaced online, the prominent Congress leader was seen surrounded by coolies, clad in their uniforms, as he donned the attire and balanced a luggage piece atop his head.
The video captured the moment as Gandhi, with a blue suitcase perched on his head, walked through the bustling terminal, while a crowd of onlookers, including the coolies, cheered enthusiastically with chants of "Rahul Gandhi zindabad" (Long live Rahul Gandhi). Gandhi's visit to Anand Vihar was motivated by a desire to engage with porters and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they encounter in their profession.
This surprise visit is not an isolated incident for the Congress leader. Gandhi has been making unexpected appearances to connect with various segments of society. Previously, he embarked on a food journey through Old Delhi to Bengali Market, where he savored local cuisine.
In addition, he visited Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar to engage with civil services aspirants and discuss government job opportunities. Gandhi's impromptu visit to Haryana's Sonipat also saw him spending time with farmers, sowing seeds in farmlands, driving a tractor, and sharing a meal with women laborers.
