Kolkata and various parts of West Bengal have witnessed a change in weather conditions, as reported by the regional headquarters of the Meteorological Department in Alipore. On Tuesday, the capital city recorded a minimum temperature of 18.6 degrees Celsius, one degree higher than the normal average, with a maximum temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius. The department forecasts that the temperature will hover between 19 to 28 degrees Celsius throughout the day, resulting in warmer conditions. While it is currently the spring season in the state, neither excessive heat nor cold is expected, though some areas may experience light rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, areas including Purulia, Bankura, Jhargram, and Murshidabad may witness light rain accompanied by strong winds. Meanwhile, Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur are expected to have cloudy skies and normal weather. However, regions such as Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong in North Bengal are anticipated to experience stable weather conditions. The current weather pattern is projected to persist for the next 24 to 48 hours.
