Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who will be celebrating his 81st birthday this year, believes that he is facing less criticism now compared to earlier years due to his age.
Known for his iconic roles in around 190 films, Bachchan acknowledges that fame often comes with criticism, but he has noticed a decrease as he has grown older.
In a blog post, Bachchan expressed, "Now with age the ridicule has lessened... now with time, they that are asked or are brought into the picture by me, are convinced that the man is 81, old, decrepit and mental, bear him... it shan't be for long." He added that the responses he receives nowadays often carry a sense of sympathy and understanding towards his age.
Bachchan also highlighted his newfound fearlessness in expressing his thoughts and opinions, noting that he dares to voice matters that he may not have done earlier. The actor shared that he has been spending time in reflection, seeking knowledge about the world and contemplating on various aspects of life.
Meanwhile, Bachchan is gearing up for his next film, Nag Ashwin's "Project K," which features an ensemble cast including Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The film has garnered attention as it is set to become the first Indian film to debut at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023.
Expressing his gratitude and excitement, Bachchan took to Twitter and referred to Prabhas as his "Idol." He praised Prabhas for his humility, respect, and concern towards him, emphasizing the honor he feels to be part of the Telugu cinema venture.
