A woman from Patuli, West Bengal, died in a road accident near Gate No. 2 of Eco Park in New Town on Sunday afternoon. She was riding an electric scooter from Biswa Bangla Gate towards Chinar Park when she lost control and collided with a divider. The impact left her critically injured.
Eco Park police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident. The woman was immediately taken to Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. According to police sources, the victim’s family is being contacted for further procedures.
Eyewitnesses reported that the scooter was moving at a significant speed when the accident occurred. Investigators are examining whether speeding, road conditions, or any mechanical faults contributed to the crash. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
