A youth was caught stealing iron from a factory in Sadatpur, Jagatballavpur, Howrah, late at night. Locals, who witnessed the theft, restrained the accused by tying him to a pole overnight. Upon receiving information, Jagatballavpur police arrived at the scene the following morning, rescued the accused, and took him into custody. The police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether the youth was acting alone or had accomplices. Authorities are also looking into possible links to similar thefts in the area.
