A youth has died while his friend is fighting for his life in hospital after their speeding motorbike crashed into a partition at the busy R-Block junction in the state capital on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Suraj Kumar alias Pallu (20), son of Vijay Kumar of Musallahpur Hatt. The injured woman was taken to hospital, where her condition is critical.
Suraj was a first year student of LP Shahi College. He took the bike from one of his friends at Chamdari Road in Patna City for a ride with his girlfriend on Valentine's Day.
The incident took place around 3.30 pm when they were returning from JP Ganga road via Atal road.
