Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma have officially ended their marriage after completing legal proceedings at the Bandra Family Court on February 20. The couple had been living separately for the past 18 months and mutually agreed to part ways, citing "compatibility issues" as the reason for their divorce.
According to reports, Chahal and Dhanashree appeared at the court in the morning and attended a mandatory 45-minute counseling session. Following the session, they confirmed their decision to proceed with the divorce, and the judge granted the final decree at around 4:30 PM.
Rumors about their troubled marriage had been circulating for months after both unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed shared pictures. However, neither publicly commented on their relationship status before the official confirmation of their divorce.
Ahead of the final hearing, Chahal posted on social media, stating, "God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about." Dhanashree also shared a post saying, "From stressed to blessed… You can either keep worrying or surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything."
Despite the personal development, Chahal remains focused on his cricketing commitments and is expected to play in IPL 2025. Dhanashree, a choreographer and content creator, continues her work in digital media and dance. With the legal formalities now complete, both have moved forward separately. No official statement has been made by either party regarding their divorce beyond their social media posts.
