Disruption in metro services between Dumdum and Dakshineswar; normal services resume after 2 hours
Bollywood actress Zareen Khan made her second appearance this month at the Sealdah Court in Kolkata in connection with the Narkeldanga case. The 'Housefull 2' fame actress arrived wearing a blue T-shirt and a face mask, bypassing questions from journalists as she entered the court premises.
The case, dating back to 2018, revolves around an arrest warrant issued against Zareen Khan at Sealdah police station based on a complaint filed by an event management company at Narkeldanga police station. The complaint alleges that in 2018, the actress had accepted an advance payment of around Rs 12 lakh to participate in Durga Puja events in Kolkata and North 24 Parganas. Despite receiving Rs 9 lakh in cash and Rs 3 lakh in her bank account, the actress purportedly failed to honor the commitment.
The organization responsible for bringing Zareen Khan to Kolkata claimed that six flight tickets were booked for her, but she missed all the scheduled flights. Furthermore, they accused the actress of subsequently threatening them through her manager.
In September, the court issued an arrest warrant against Zarine Khan in connection with the case, leading to her recent appearances in the Sealdah Court.
