Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar continued to perform well at the domestic box office and collected Rs 6.05 crore on its first Monday. The Luv Ranjan directorial has earned a total of Rs 76.29 crore after its 6th day. On Wednesday, March 8, the rom-com opened with Rs 15.73 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the film on his social media accounts. He tweeted, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar collects on Monday [6. day] decent number… National chains continue to lead, bulk pockets remain common/below… Wed Rs 15.73 cr, Thu Rs 10.34 cr, Fri Rs 10.52 cr , Sat Rs 16.57 cr, Sun Rs 17, 08 cr, After Rs 6.05 cr. The film marks the first collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor on the big screen. After releasing massive hits like 'Tere Pyaar Mein' and 'Show Me The Thumka', trade analysts predicted that the film will perform well at the box office. Both songs have performed well on YouTube, with their videos currently garnering over 88 million and 46 million views respectively.
The film is produced by the film banner Luv Films and Ankur Garg. It is presented by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The film also features Anubhav Singh Bassi, Boney Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia.
Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva opposite Alia Bhatt. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it was a blockbuster. Meanwhile, Shraddha was last seen in the 2018 horror comedy film Stree. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was released worldwide on the occasion of Holi on March 8, 2023.
