Ram Charan ready to perform at Oscars 2023, not Invited

'RRR' won the Oscar for Best Original Song for the chart-topping 'Naatu Naatu'. The song was even performed live at the coveted ceremony. Before the award announcement, the original singers Rahul Sipligunk and Kaala Bhairava performed live on stage in front of the biggest names in world cinema "Naatu Naatu". However, the famous hookstep of the song was not performed by the lead stars of 'RRR', Ram Charan and Jr NTR.

Despite Ram Charan and Jr NTR being present at the Oscars, another dance troupe was seen performing 'Naatu Naatu' steps as the singers sang the number on stage. However, Ram Charan has now stated that he was 100 percent ready to perform the song on stage, but he never heard back.

"I was 100 percent ready to take the call, but I really don't know what happened. But let's not talk about it because the group that did it there was fantastic and did a better job than we did," the actor told reports. Interestingly, a few days ago, one of the producers of the Oscars claimed that Ram Charan and Jr NTR were offered to perform 'Naatu Naatu' live but they didn't want to do it as they were not comfortable with it. "The change was due to their other professional commitments and a limited amount of rehearsal time," said the producer.

SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, music composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose were among those who represented 'RRR' at the 95th Academy Awards. The performance of 'Naatu Naatu' was introduced to the audience by none other than Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was the only Indian on the list of presenters at the Academy this year.

The performance received a thunderous ovation from the audience present at the Oscars.
