With the rise in Covid-19 cases in various parts of the country, health experts have warned people to follow protocols to prevent the spread of the virus. However, as of Wednesday, Bihar had six active cases.
On Tuesday, two new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Bihar from Patna. But on Wednesday, the state did not register any new cases. State Health Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh said all the cases in the last week were random and from different pockets.
Singh said there was no need to panic as the department was fully prepared to deal with the situation. "We have asked people to follow a hygienic lifestyle," Singh said.
National data indicated that there were a total of 7,026 active Covid cases on Wednesday and Bihar was among the last five. None of the active cases from the state also required any medical attention and were rather isolated at home with mild symptoms.
Apart from Covid-19, Bihar has witnessed a rise in the number of cases of H1N1, commonly known as swine flu. Although no official cases of swine flu were registered in the state on Wednesday, seven new cases were registered from different parts of the state on Tuesday, including four from different localities of Patna.
