Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini delighted the passengers of the Mumbai Metro as she boarded the train to avoid traffic woes in the city.
The commuters were visibly surprised to see the veteran actor riding among them like an ordinary person on Tuesday. A lot of them clicked selfies with the MP from Mathura and exchanged greetings.
She shared a number of pictures of her outing, saying it was “a wonderful, pleasurable experience”. Malini then continued her public transport journey in an autorickshaw from DN Nagar to Juhu.
The actress took the out-of-the-blue decision after facing traffic snarls while travelling by road earlier.
“I must share with all of you my unique, wonderful experience. Drove 2 hours to reach Dahisar by car, so tiring. In the eve decided I would try the metro, and OMG! What a joy it was! True, we went through tough times during the construction, but worth it,” she said in a tweet while sharing pictures from her journey.
