Television actress Chandrika Saha on Tuesday filed a case against her husband for hitting their 15-month-old child on the floor.
CCTV footage of her husband Aman Mishra has gone viral where he is seen slamming their young son on the floor several times. It is said that after seeing the video, Saha immediately took the child to the hospital and later filed a complaint against her husband.
According to the police, the 31-year-old actress approached the Bangur Nagar police station with the CCTV footage from the child's room after realizing that she was injured. The CID actress said in her complaint that she was in the kitchen on Friday when she heard her 15-month-old son crying. She asked Mishra to take care of the baby and he took the baby to his room.
After a while, Saha heard her son cry again, followed by a loud thud. When she arrived, she found the toddler injured on the floor. The child is currently admitted to a private hospital in Malad West.
Saha is divorced and had an affair with Mishra in 2020. He asked Saha to abort the baby after learning that she was pregnant, but she refused. However, they often argued about it and got married last month when their son was 14 months old. Mishra has been charged with assaulting a child in custody under section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Police are currently investigating the case and examining CCTV footage.
On the work front, Saha has worked in TV serials like Adaalat, C.I.D. and Savdhaan India: Crime Alert.
