The newly elected president of the Ranchi section of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has decided to provide free expert medical consultation services to the residents of the state capital at the IMA building.
At the first executive meeting of the newly elected office bearers, chaired by President Dr. Shekhar Choudhary Kajal, five sub-committees including Cultural Committee, Sports Committee, Ethics Committee, Academic Committee and Finance Committee have been constituted for the implementation of IMA programmes. .
President Dr Shekhar Choudhary Kajal said that the IMA campus would be made a member-friendly place on priority and music, dance, yoga and karate classes would be held for the children of doctors. The help of the Doctors Wives Association would be used to implement such programs.
"Without the active participation of female doctors, no IMA program could be successful. So we have decided to prioritize and increase the participation of IMA women doctors in the activities,” said the Ranchi IMA president.
Dr Kajal said that currently the implementation of the Medical Protection Act (MPA) in the state is the first challenge before the Ranchi IMA. He said that the IMA Ranchi would launch a special campaign to clear the confusion between the representatives of the people and the people regarding the MPA.
The newly elected body has also decided to adopt one village for its all-round development as per the directive of the IMA national body and organize at least two CMEs per month.
