Acting on a specific tip-off, the 145th Corps stationed at Petrapole conducted a search at the passenger terminal, leading to the discovery of three gold biscuits hidden in the woman's shoes.

The woman, identified as Afiran (53) from Shariatpur district, Bangladesh, claimed that she was traveling to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, for medical treatment. She stated that an unidentified woman near the Benapole border in Bangladesh had given her the gold biscuits, instructing her to hand them over to an unknown person at the Modern Research Foundation in Chennai.
