 Congress president urges central forces in panchayat elections, questions TMC's intentions

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has written a letter to the Governor of West Bengal, urging the deployment of central forces in response to the escalating violence in the upcoming panchayat elections.

The call for intervention comes in the wake of a Congress worker's tragic death due to gun violence in Murshidabad's Khargram.  The incident has ignited a wave of political accusations, with Choudhary asserting that the accused received protection from the local administration before committing the murder.

He further stated that the Congress party will stage protests against such acts, criticizing the Trinamool Congress and vowing not to permit a politics of bloodshed in the elections.

The panchayat elections in West Bengal are slated to take place on July 8.
