A devastating fire broke out at a chemical factory in Howrah's Domjur, causing panic among locals.
Six fire engines swiftly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire originated from a lorry's battery, leading to an explosion and subsequent spread to nearby chemical factories and warehouses.
The lorry driver and a sailor suffered severe injuries, with the sailor's condition reported as critical.
The incident occurred in the densely populated Saraswati Complex area under the jurisdiction of Domjur police station.
