Jharkhand Police arrested two cyber criminals after a raid in Gonda area led by Cyber DSP Yashodhara.
The arrested have been identified as Giridih residents, Brahmadeo Paswan and Sonu Kumar Barnwal. Police seized a large number of fake Aadhaar cards, ATM cards, check books, pass books, SIM cards and laptops from them besides cash worth Rs 1.96 crore.
Initial interrogation indicated that they had been operational for the past seven months and were using their prey to trap them in the name of providing them with business support. They had connections with bank officials who helped them open bank accounts using fake documents.
