Mamata Banerjee releases song for Chhath Puja, played at ghats across Bengal
Renowned actor Kajol recently revealed her challenges in portraying lust on-screen while reminiscing about the 1994 film Yeh Dillagi. She shared her experiences during the filming of the song 'Hothon Pe Bas Tera Naam Hai,' where she and co-star Saif Ali Khan struggled with emoting lust.
Interestingly, Kajol will soon be seen in director Amit R. Sharma's segment of the Netflix India anthology Lust Stories 2, further exploring this complex emotion.
Kajol expressed her interpretation of lust, describing it as a deeply intense desire for something. She emphasized that lust is highly subjective, varying from person to person, and can extend beyond romantic or sexual contexts to include other intense cravings, such as for food. According to Kajol, this subjective nature makes it a challenging emotion to convey on-screen.
The upcoming Lust Stories 2 is a four-part anthology and serves as the sequel to Netflix India's successful Lust Stories released in 2018. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Films and Ashi Dua's Flying Unicorn Entertainment, the anthology features an ensemble cast including Kumud Mishra, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, Neena Gupta, Angad Bedi, and Mrunal Thakur.
The other directors involved in the project are Konkona Sensharma, R Balki, and Sujoy Ghosh. Lust Stories 2 is set to premiere on Netflix India on June 29.
