A cloudburst was reported from Himachal Pradesh's Kullu on Monday. One person lost his life in the tragedy where two of the injured are in serious condition.. The cloudburst occurred around 3:55 am near Kayas village in Kullu.
The cloudburst comes at a time when the state is already witnessing heavy monsoon showers and several landslides have occurred in the state, leading to the closure of several roads.
The person who died was identified as Badal Sharma of Chansari in Kullu.
DSP Rajesh Thakur headquarters was said in a report that 3 people were injured and 9 vehicles were damaged in Kias village in Kullu.
The India Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh in the next 2 days in its daily weather bulletin. An orange alert has also been issued.
Incessant rainfall in the state has led to 108 deaths so far this year. It also caused significant damage to property in the state. Many roads were washed away after heavy rains and the swelling of the Beas river.
