Prime accused in Baba Siddique's murder case arrested, 2 others nabbed
Seema Haider, a 30-year-old Pakistani national who is under the lens of security agencies after crossing into India to be with his 22-year-old partner Sachin Meena, spoke perfect English during questioning by the Uttar Pradesh Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
According to the report, the UP ATS sleuths asked her to read a few lines in English. Sources told the website that the Pakistani national not only read the text well, but the way she read English was just perfect.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh police detailed how Haider planned to cross to India as early as January 2022. In March this year, she met Sachin Meena at a hotel in Nepal's capital Kathmandu and spent seven days there under false names.
In May, she obtained a tourist visa and flew from Karachi to Dubai and then to Kathmandu before taking a bus to the Khunwa border in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh. She traveled to Lucknow, Agra and then reached Greater Noida where Meena rented a room in Rabupura area.
When asked about the possibility of Haider being an agent of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, UP Special Directorate General (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said,
All agencies are doing their job. This matter is connected with two nations, it is not right to say anything unless there is sufficient evidence. She was once in jail and is now out on bail. Further measures are being taken."
