A Chinese national was arrested by the SSB at the Indo-Nepal Panitanki border.
The arrested person's name is Yonghin Peng (39). He is a resident of Gandong, China. Information about this was provided by SSB on Thursday.
According to sources, the Chinese national was arriving in India from Nepal on Wednesday. At the same time, the SSB took him into custody on suspicion.
He was later arrested after it was discovered that he had made a mistake during the interrogation. SSB recovered Nepali identity card, Nepali passport, Chinese identity card, mobile phone, money from various countries and Chinese goods from the accused.
The SSB has handed over Khoribari to the police for further action. It is said that the Khoribari police will take the Chinese national into custody by producing them before the court in Siliguri.
