Woman paraded naked in Jhk's Dhanbad, four arrested

• Woman beaten, stripped, and tied to a tree in Jharkhand village, allegedly in connection with a love affair

The woman was allegedly beaten, paraded naked, and tied to a tree in a village under Sariya police station, about 70 km from Giridih district headquarters.

A report reaching the Giridih district headquarters said the incident took place on Wednesday evening. The culprits paraded the woman naked in the village and tied her to a tree. A team from Sariya police station who got the information rescued the woman in the night after getting the information.

The police arrested four persons in this connection, including the two accused women.

Giridih headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sanjay Rana told the media that in a love affair, some persons stripped the woman's clothes and tied her to a tree.

In this regard, an FIR under IPC Section 122/23 was registered at Sariya Police Station against the accused and four persons identified as Vikash Sonar, Shravan Kumar, Rekha Devi, and Munni Devi were arrested.

On the direction of Giridih SP, a team under Saria-Bagodar SDPO Naushad Alam started an investigation into the incident.

A report reaching the Giridih district headquarters said that around 8:00 pm, two youths called the victim on her mobile phone and forcibly took her to a nearby forest where they beat her, made her walk naked, and tied her to a tree along with other accused.
