Mamata warns Governor

In a fervent and impassioned speech delivered at TMC Chhatra Parishad foundation day today, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed a range of pressing issues, shedding light on to the role of the state's Governor, expressing concerns about arbitrariness in his interventions and administrative decisions. She openly urged him not to interfere in the state's affairs, asserting her autonomy as an elected Chief Minister and him as an appointed official.

She said "The governor has descended into arbitrariness in Bengal. He is entering wherever he wants. He is making his friend the VC of the colleges. I tell him, Governor, don't try to mess with us. I'm not in your control. The Governor is nominated, and the Chief Minister, am elected."

Further drawing attention to a controversial incident involving the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Mamata Banerjee disclosed that the agency had entered Abhishek Banerjee's office and allegedly planted documents, leading her party to file a case against the ED. In the run-up to the upcoming elections, she spoke of orchestrated conspiracies on a significant scale and lamented what she described as an unprecedented level of corruption within the country's Home Ministry.
