Actor Govinda to be questioned in ₹1000 Crore online Ponzi Scam case

Bollywood veteran Govinda is set to be questioned by the Odisha Economic Offences Wing (EOW) as part of an ongoing investigation into a massive ₹1000 crore online ponzi scam. The actor's connection with a company involved in the pan-India scam has brought him under scrutiny.

The company in question, Solar Techno Alliance (STA), had a global presence and allegedly operated a fraudulent online ponzi scheme, masquerading as a cryptocurrency investment opportunity. It is reported that STA amassed deposits from more than 2 lakh individuals across India without proper authorization from the Reserve Bank of India.

At present, Govinda is neither a suspect nor an accused in the case. Instead, he is expected to be questioned due to his endorsement of STA in several videos. Authorities from the EOW aim to gather additional information about the scam through Govinda's statement.

The actor had participated in a major event organized by STA in Goa earlier this year, prompting a team from the Odisha EOW to prepare for an inquiry into his association with the company. This investigation aims to uncover further details related to Govinda's involvement with STA and its activities.

While Govinda's role in the scam remains unclear, his endorsement of the company has led to inquiries into whether he had any knowledge or involvement in the fraudulent activities orchestrated by STA.
