A shocking incident in Noida's Phase 2 market has gained widespread attention after a video surfaced on social media depicting an enraged money lender forcibly stripping a garlic trader naked over a ₹3,000 dispute. The victim, identified as Amit, had reportedly borrowed ₹5,600 from the money lender Sundar a month prior and had returned ₹2,500 on Tuesday, requesting more time to settle the remaining amount.
When Amit failed to provide the balance payment, a group of individuals in the market resorted to violence, leading to the distressing incident captured on video. The footage shows the trader being stripped naked and paraded in public, sparking outrage across social media platforms.
In connection with this case, City Magistrate Dharmendra Kumar stated that the Saraswati Trading Company operates in Phase 2. Sundar is associated with this company and has been running his shop in Phase 2 for an extended period. As soon as information about the incident was received, his license was promptly revoked.
