Rajarhat Flat Scam: ED seeks additional documents from Trinamool MP Nusrat Jahan

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its investigation into the flat fraud case involving Trinamool Member of Parliament and actress, Nusrat Jahan. Nusrat has been asked by the central agency to furnish additional documents related to the case. However, the ED has not issued a summons for her physical appearance this time.

Reports indicate that the ED sought further documentation from Nusrat Jahan pertaining to the Rajarhat flat scam case, which she has not yet provided. The case centers around a company named "Seven Sense Infrastructure Private Limited," which allegedly collected more than Rs 23 crores from 429 individuals for the purchase of land and the construction of flats in Rajarhat. Remarkably, it is alleged that not a single investor received possession of their flats even after nine years.

The organization's director at the time of the alleged fraud was Nusrat Jahan, who represents the Basirhat constituency as a Trinamool MP. The ED had previously conducted inquiries with two directors of the organization, Nusrat Jahan and Ruplekha Mitra. The central agency is now seeking to cross-reference the statement of Rakesh Singh, another key individual involved in the case, with the statements provided by Nusrat Jahan and Ruplekha Mitra during their interrogations.
