Indian shooter Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar added to India's medal tally at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou by securing a bronze medal in the men's 10m air rifle individual final. He achieved a total score of 228.8 points, showcasing his marksmanship skills on the international stage.
The gold medal in the event was claimed by China's Lihao Sheng, who amassed an impressive total of 253.3 points, while the silver medal was secured by South Korea's Hajun Park with 251.3 points.
Interestingly, Aishwary beat his compatriot Rudrankksh Patil in the shoot-off for bronze. The latter finished with 208.7 points at the fourth spot.
Earlier in the day, the Indian shooting team comprising Divyansh Panwar, Rudrankksh Patil, and Aishwary Tomar clinched a gold medal in the Men's 10m air rifle team shooting event. Their remarkable combined score of 1893.7 not only secured the top position but also shattered China's world record of 1893.3 points set in August 2023. South Korea claimed the silver medal with a total of 1890.1 points, while China settled for the bronze with 1888.2 points.
