Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, virtually present at the event, welcomed him warmly and inquired about his presence in the locality. In response, Madan Mitra recited a poem and sang a song, with the Chief Minister lauding his talent. Mamata Banerjee expressed hope that the earnings from Madan Mitra's performances would be contributed to the 62 pally.
In his song, Madan Mitra highlighted the significance of various goddesses and temples in Kolkata, and Mamata Banerjee playfully remarked that he might be called upon for more performances in the future. She added that any proceeds generated would be directed to the welfare of the 62 pally.
