Matthew Perry, the beloved actor known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom "Friends," has passed away. The 54-year-old actor was discovered unresponsive in his hot tub at his Los Angeles residence in the early hours of Sunday.
Perry had reportedly returned home after a game of pickleball and had requested his house help to run some errands before the tragic incident occurred. Initial reports suggest that he may have died due to drowning, with no evidence of drugs or foul play at the scene.
Matthew Perry had grappled with substance abuse issues for a significant part of his life but managed to overcome addiction around 2010 after a long struggle, as revealed in his memoir.
