Tragic road accident in Thakurpukur leaves 15 Injured, many in critical condition

In a horrifying accident that occurred during Monday morning rush hour, a luxury bus lost control and collided with a passenger bus on Route 235, resulting in a catastrophic collision in Thakurpukur, Behala. At least 15 individuals have been reported injured, with the conditions of many among them being described as critical. According to eyewitnesses, a bus of route number 235 was traveling from Taratala to Pailan when it was suddenly struck from behind by the luxury bus near Thakurpukur 3 bus stand. The impact caused the passenger bus to lose control, leading to a series of collisions with a private car and a police vehicle in front, eventually culminating in the bus crashing onto a road divider. 

Among the injured was a fruit seller who was conducting his business by the roadside. He sustained severe injuries after being struck by one of the buses and was thrown some distance onto the road. Furthermore, the ongoing construction of a Kali Puja pandal in the vicinity added to the casualties, as several individuals working on the site were also harmed. So far, 15 people have been reported injured. 

Notably, a few months ago, a tragic accident in the same Behala area had claimed the life of a Class 4 student from Barisha School, leading to increased safety measures, including the installation of a drop gate and surveillance. This latest accident occurred approximately 2 kilometers from that location.

Local residents and the police promptly came to the aid of the injured, coordinating their rescue and transportation to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
