BSF seizes seven cattles using night vision drone in Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar, November 16. Border Security Force (BSF) jawans at the Border Out Post (BOP) Oran, 06th Battalion, deployed on the Indo-Bangladesh border in the Cooch Behar district, successfully seized seven cattle with the assistance of a night vision drone. The operation took place under the Jalpaiguri sector of the North Bengal Frontier. Despite the success in confiscating the cattle, the smuggler managed to escape under the cover of darkness and fog. In a press release issued on Thursday, the BSF provided details of the operation.

The BSF, utilizing drone surveillance, identified seven cattle smugglers approaching the International Border (IB) toward Dahagram Angrapota Pillar No. 4/11-S. The information was immediately relayed to BOP Oran's patrol party. Upon the smugglers' close proximity, the BSF party attempted to apprehend them, but the smuggler exploited the challenging conditions of darkness, fog, and the nearby river-drain to escape.

Subsequently, the BSF conducted a night vision search of the area using the drone, leading to the seizure of seven cattle. This incident follows a similar operation on September 28, where BOP Oran personnel, with the aid of a night vision drone, seized four cattle during an attempted smuggling from India to Bangladesh.
