Alleging widespread corruption within the state government, supporters of the Bidhannagar BJP staged a campaign on Wednesday to encircle the SDO office. The campaign saw BJP members gathering in front of Karunamoyee in the afternoon, intending to march towards the SDO office to submit a memorandum. The memorandum primarily addressed accusations of corruption related to the ration distribution, housing scheme, and the 100 days work initiative.
As the procession from Karunamoyee approached the SDO office, the police intervened, preventing the march from progressing further. In response to the police action, BJP supporters opted to stage a sit-in protest on the streets. Despite the restriction, six BJP supporters managed to reach the SDO office to submit their memorandum.
