Ravichandran Ashwin extends best wishes to Suryakumar Yadav, named captain for T20Is vs Australia

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Suryakumar Yadav as the captain for the upcoming T20 International series against Australia, commencing on Thursday, November 23. The decision comes in the wake of the absence of regular captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Hardik Pandya, who have been rested and sidelined due to injury, respectively. Expressing his congratulations, veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin took to Instagram to extend his best wishes to Suryakumar, hailing it as an honor for the batter to lead the country.

The Indian squad, notably without several key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shubman Gill, will also see Ruturaj Gaikwad as the vice-captain for the first three T20Is, with Shreyas Iyer taking over the role in the subsequent matches in Raipur and Bengaluru.
