In a heartfelt gesture, a yajna (religious ritual) has been organized in Howrah to invoke divine intervention for the safe rescue of the 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel in Uttarakhand. The Havan Yagya took place this morning at the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple situated on the banks of the Ganga at Ramakrishnapur Ghat in Howrah.
Local former councilor, Shailesh Rai, expressed the collective sentiment of the community, emphasizing that prayers to God for the well-being of the trapped workers could contribute to their safe rescue. The Havan Yagya was conducted with the hope that the laborers would be retrieved from the tunnel unharmed, allowing them to reunite with their families in good health.
