Reconstruction of crime scene in Kasba as probe intensifies in Kolkata college student rape case
In a disturbing incident, a 67-year-old man named Bhola Sheikh was brutally hacked to death in the Leather Complex police station area of Kolkata, specifically in the Tardah Bazar area. The tragic incident unfolded on Monday morning and is attributed to an ongoing family dispute, leading to a violent confrontation.
According to police sources, Bhola Sheikh has been identified as a public laborer by profession. A family dispute was going on between Bhola's neice and her husband, Zakir. There used to be turmoil among the family members.
On Monday morning, around 5 am, Bhola Sheikh left home for tea, only to be surrounded by a group of miscreants in the Tardah Bazar area. They attacked Bhola with sharp weapons, resulting in severe injuries to his head, neck, and throat.
Neighbors came to his rescue and took him to NRS hospital where the doctors declared him dead. It is known that Bhola's niece was staying with him since few days and the dispute seemed to revolve around issues with son-in-law Zakir. No arrests have been made yet in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing to determine if anyone else was involved in the fatal attack on Bhola Sheikh.
