India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
In a significant development during the vote counting process in Telangana, the Election Commission took swift action by suspending the Director General of Police (DGP), Anjani Kumar, for a violation of the model code of conduct. The suspension comes after the DGP, along with state police nodal officers, paid a visit to Anumula Revanth Reddy, the state Congress president and a candidate, raising concerns about potential favoritism.
Sources revealed that Anjani Kumar, along with state police nodal officer Sanjay Jain and nodal officer (expenditure) Mahesh Bhagwat, presented a bouquet of flowers to Anumula Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad. This unexpected meeting between law enforcement and a contesting candidate triggered suspicions of mala fide intentions of seeking favour, and a breach of the model code.
